Out in the Streets with Ashley’s Back to Nature Day 52

Another day revolving around a car, so not much time spent on my aromatherapy business. I did deliver an order of “Lavender Air, Body & Linen Spritz.”  I surprised her with a gift of my freshly made “Healing Bath, Feet & Shower Salts” scented with lavender. I also gave her a KureAll Skin Balm to give to her mother. This lady is a very good customer, so it makes me feel good to give gifts to people who appreciate Ashley’s Back to Nature products and spend their hard earned cash with me.

I mailed the order I got from my website yesterday, sent her a gift of salts as well. Then I put labels on products I recently made. What I really need to be doing is working on how to get people to my website so they can buy my natural and organic products. For me, that’s drudge work and I can’t seem to make myself do what I truly need to be doing to grow this biz. The main reason is because I’m not sure how and when I start researching search engine optimization and things of that nature, I get bored quickly and don’t comprehend what I’m reading. I’d rather be making and whiffing perfume oils.

I’d be willing to pay someone knowledgeable to help me, but how does one find that person? I’ve tried a few times and have been disappointed. I don’t have money to throw away. I need results that will get mass amounts of people to my website. Any suggestions from anyone who may be reading this blog?

Out in the Streets with Ashley’s Back to Nature Day 40

Maybe, just maybe, my label problem is resolved as far as the smearing and smudging goes. I still have the task of creating the ad copy, printing and putting the labels on all the jars and bottles, but if the smearing and smudging problem is resolved, I’ll be very relieved and less uptight. I’m looking forward to the day when I can hire someone to do this for Ashley’s Back to Nature.

When I called Hewlitt Packard this morning to see if we could fix the smearing/smudging label issue, I felt as if I was talking with Howard on the Andy Griffith Show. His voice was very boring and he was slow, but towards the end of our issue, I felt his personality coming alive. He started out making me yawn and ended up putting a smile on my face, so it was a good technical call experience for us both.

One thing I can be sure of… there will always be issues to resolve in running a business. My challenge is learning to be more patient and hanging tight until I can fix the issue without over reacting.

I created a new perfume oil today, “Peace and Tranquility.” It’s enriched with the essential oils of lavender, lemon, blood orange and eucalyptus. The carrier oil is sweet almond oil which is rich in vitamins and proteins. There is no alcohol to dry out your skin in my perfumes, only nourishing essential and carrier oils that nourish your skin.

My Rosehip Regenerating Face Serum is selling well, so I made another fifteen jars today. I can see a positive difference in my skin since using the serum. The flab on my face is now firm and my skin just looks better.

I’m really looking forward to 2011 ending and the beginning of 2012. I’ve got a lot to accomplish.

Out in the Streets with Ashley’s Back to Nature Day 25

Today I headed to Helen, GA to sell my handcrafted Ashley’s Back to Nature aromatherapy products. It was pretty quiet in Helen, but I did manage to sell enough to make it worth my while.

It’s amazing the skin disorders people will show me when I pull out and start talking about my KureAll Skin Balm that heals so many various skin disorders. Sometimes I’m compelled to cover my eyes because of how painful it looks on their skin. I can feel their pain. I always put a dab of the KureAll onto their fingertips for them to rub on their affected area/s.

I sold a Breathe Easy Kit today which included a Eucalyptus Air Freshener, Healing Bath, Feet & Shower Salts scented with eucalyptus and a Breathe Easy oil which clears stuffiness and is scented with eucalyptus and peppermint. The eucalyptus will open up your nasal passages, so it comes in handy when you’re having a hard time breathing. I sold a few more Whipped Creme Body Butter Lotions, some KureAll Skin Balms and a Pick-Me-Up Energizer & Headache relief with peppermint and lavender essential oils.

I stopped off at Betty’s Country store and purchased some fried green peas to snack on while I watch the X Factor tonight. I want to watch the Barbara Walters special, but I may boycott Barbara since she’s interviewing the Kardashians. I think they are such a disgrace to the human race and set a horrible example to teenagers.

I took this photo tonight as the sun was setting.

Out in the Streets with Ashley’s Back to Nature Day 17

Today it’s rainy and ugly outside, so I stayed inside to make a few bottles of my best seller, Whipped Creme Body Butter Lotion scented with pure lavender essential oil.

One of my customers recently told me Ashley’s Back to Nature “Whipped Creme  Body Butter Lotion” took 10 years off her hands. What a great testimonial. It’s enriched with shea butter, chamomile, calendula and aloe vera extracts, along with vitamins A, C & E. You simply apply the lotion to dry areas on your body to hydrate, nourish and moisturize dry, chapped, itchy skin. The lotion absorbs nicely, doesn’t leave skin feeling sticky, instead… leaves your skin feeling silky soft.

Well, now it’s time to figure out how to get people to read my blogs here on wordpress.com.

Out in the Streets with Ashley’s Back to Nature Day 9

Today I will be inside making a big batch of “KureAll Skin Balm.” I sell it almost as fast as I make it because it’s such a great healer for so many skin ailments. The testimonials I get are amazing which makes me feel so good inside. After working for corporate America for many nightmare years, all they wanted me to do was extract every single dollar I could from my clients, whether they could afford whatever I was selling or not. That made me sick and forced me to do a lot of job hopping.

Most of my jobs were in newspaper advertising. Almost every ridiculous meeting I attended, the word contract came up. When you sit down and analyze this, you actually make more money without contracts, but they weren’t smart enough to figure that out. The word contract will NEVER come up with Ashley’s Back to Nature unless the client brings it up.

Back to the “KureAll Skin Balm”……. the healers in this balm are tea tree and lavender essential oils, beeswax, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, wheat germ oil and vitamin E oil. This balm has saved me for my burning, itchy skin because I will scratch til it bleeds (sorry for being gross). As soon as my skin itches, I apply a small amount of this balm and the itching immediately stops. You can use this balm for cuts, burns, rashes, bedsores, dry chapped lips, cuticles, so many things. You can even use it on dogs sores. My customers have told me it’s helped them with their psoriasis, eczema, fever blisters, bug bites, vaginal irritations, etc. This makes me tingle inside, helping people.

Til the next post, smiles.
