Out in the Streets with Ashley’s Back to Nature Day 49

I headed back out to Murphy, NC this morning to set up at Beckers Flea Market to sell my natural and organic aromatherapy products. The foot traffic was low, but that’s to be expected in the winter. I didn’t sell anything within the first two hours, but fortunately I had a nice big order and a medium size order in the third hour, so it was worth my time and gas. Plus, I got to see the cows grazing on grass on part of the scenic drive and they make me feel at peace. I love cows, they are so mellow. I don’t like to think about them becoming a hamburger.

All in all, a good week. I gathered 20 new customers in three days of selling. Making new clients/friends through products that nourish, protect and heal is a valuable experience and I don’t just mean money wise.

I had to order a lot of supplies this week, but as the old saying goes, “you’ve got to spend money to make money.” Trying out some new essential oils. Can’t wait til they arrive.

I’m itching to come up with a new aromatherapy product. Maybe I will dream about it tonight. I sometimes get ideas in dreamland. Hey, maybe I can make a sweet dreams spray or oil to chase away the nitemares.

Smiles til my next post,

Out in the Streets with Ashley’s Back to Nature Day 42

Have a Fun and Safe New Years Eve!

My party was putting labels on my “Rosehip Face Serum” and “Peace & Tranquility Perfume Oil.” The labels gave me a hard time, but I kept going until they were perfect. I was delighted to be able to put an image of a rosehip seed flower on the top of my serum jar.  People like images  and will be more drawn to the serum because of the the pretty photo. Yee hii!

Whenever I set up at shows to sell my natural and organic aromatherapy skincare products, The first thing most people ask me about is the “KureAll Skin Balm” because of the golden color of the balm (photo above). When I tell them what all the balm does, a good majority of them buy. A 1/2 oz. jar  is only $5 and will last a long time. It’s great for so many skin disorders, especially itchy, chapped skin. It’s been a life saver for me. It will be a household name one day.

Today while I was talking with an ex-boyfriend of over 20 years ago, Michael, I made a big jar of “Healing Bath, Feet and Shower Salts” scented with peppermint and pine essential oils. The salts contain 84 trace minerals that take toxins from your skin, relax the nervous system, improve circulation, among other things while your laying in a tub of warm water. You can also soak your feet, helps bring down swelling or you can exfoliate dry, dead skin in the shower. The salts are very healing.

I searched from some nice boxes to put my aromatherapy “First Aid Kit for the Winter” that will greatly help with dry, itchy, chapped skin… found nothing. Will continue searching.

Need to get out and make some sales next week since this past week I didn’t hit the streets. A lot of businesses are closed until January 3rd. Instead of making money, I spent money on my laser printer that’s suppose to print labels that won’t smudge or smear. We’ll see.

Smiles til my next post,

Out in the Streets with Ashley’s Back to Nature Day 18

Today’s Wednesday and I haven’t made any money in the last few days,  so it’s time to hustle and bustle.  Going door to door selling doesn’t work well when it’s raining and overcast.  Maybe it’s me, but it seems people aren’t as friendly when the weather is overcast. I’m a sunshine girl myself.

To use my time productively, I’ve been searching the internet trying to figure out how to get traffic to this blog and to my website, http://www.ashleysbacktonature.com. Please feel free to comment if you have any helpful suggestions to this delima.

I’m also preparing myself  for a trunk show tomorrow at the Garden of Beadin’ Shop in Blairsville, GA. They sell Ashley’s Back to Nature products in their store so I need to promote the products by demonstrating how to use and educating them on the importance of using natural and organic skincare products. The best way to get potential customers interested is by letting them touch, feel and smell. Our skin is our largest organ, so it’s vital to put natural and organic products on your skin since the ingredients will be entering into your bloodstream when your pores open.

Tonight I’ll be watching “Revenge” about rich and demented people with my comfort foods.

Smiles and Sweet Dreams til Next Time,

Out in the Streets with Ashley’s Back to Nature Day 1

After working for corporate America for too many years, I was forced to create my own aromatherapy business in 2005 called Ashley’s Back to Nature. I hand make mostly natural and organic skin care products that are safe for people, pets and the environment. My products nourish, heal and can pick up your spirits.

It’s so nice to not have to work for idiot bosses, be surrounded by back stabbers, slackers, harsh florescent  lights, constant loud noises, not to mention hearing some of my co-workers that had no problem lying and cheating people with big fat smiles on their faces. It made me sick to my stomach. The word contract doesn’t exist in my business vocabulary.

My goal is to blog everyday about what I’ve done to make Ashley’s Back to Nature into a house hold name one day at a time while giving back to the community and society.

Today I drove to Murphy, NC to check out a flea market to set up my 5 foot table and sell Ashley’s Back to Nature products. I found out the best days to sell are on Tuesday and Saturdays, so I’m going to give it a try. The market was out in a field surrounded by lots of other vendors selling their goods. I tried to ignore the big puddles of mud from the previous rain, but it’s still etched in my mind.

There were a lot of rednecks at the flea market, but who am I to judge? They can surely use my KureAll Skin Balm that’s great for itchy skin, cuts, burns, rashes, dry chapped lips, fever blisters and all types of skin irritations. It got rid of my skin disorder within a few days that was very similar to the shingles. Every household on the planet should have KureAll Skin Balm.

Happy day, sweet dreams and til next time.
