Out in the Streets with Ashley’s Back to Nature Day 50

Wow, my 50th day blogging about Ashley’s Back to Nature natural and organic aromatherapy skincare products. My aim here with this daily blog is to let you know the ups and downs of running your own business and hopefully make people laugh out loud and maybe even learn a thing or two from my experiences. I’m also open to learning from you.

Today I made more bottles of  “Peace and Tranquility Perfume Oil” with bergamot, lemon, lime, blood orange, white grapefruit and eucalyptus essential oils. I used sweet almond oil as the carrier oil. It smells so refreshing and uplifting. I want to locate some exotic perfume bottles like one of the smart ladies I met here on this site, http://www.theperfumegarden.org. Her bottles are so enchanting, I like the scent before I can even smell what’s inside.

Out of all the products I make, I enjoy making the perfume oils the best. Probably because I become so captivated by the smells of the essential oils. It’s like a spiritual experience for me. At night when I’m chilling in front of the TV, I rub some of these essential oils on my feet, hands and pulse points and it’s intoxicating. I feel so lucky to have discovered essential oils.

Smiles til my next post,

Out in the Streets with Ashley’s Back to Nature Day 30

Today I was a busy bee, putting in a 14 hour work day, trying to play catch up for the lost weekend. I woke up to an aromatherapy skincare order from my website, so that got my day off to a nice jump out of bed. After the coffee and some fresh pineapple, I made 48 jars of KureAll Skin Balm.

I then proceeded to package the internet order and take it to the post office. When I got to the counter to pay, she asked me the usual mega amount of annoying questions, although I told her upfront in a nice tone of voice “I want to mail this package without any extras for the least amount of money” but she still rattled all those questions wanting me to spend more money. So annoying. Then she has an attitude.

After coming home from the post office, I made jars of Whipped Creme Body Butter Lotion, Smooth as Silk Face Moisturizer, Rosehip Regenerating Face Serum and refilled a few bottles and jars of skincare products for my own personal use. I love my products. I then put together a package for my daughter Ashley for Christmas. Can’t wait to see the lovely lady at the post office when I go to mail the package tomorrow.

My face has really firmed up nicely since using the Rosehip Regenerating Face Serum. Great for my vanity. Check this out, the definition for Rosehip  seed oil is: An oil that heals and regenerates the skin, helping to counteract aging. It’s a rich source of omega 3 & 6 fatty acids and anti-oxidant properties, helping with fine lines, wrinkles and firming the face. It is clinically proven to reduce scarring, wrinkles and condition the skin. It is excellent for treatment of eczema, psoriasis and chapped skin and aiding in the reduction of redness. The oil has a botanical extract of rose petals found to have high concentrations of vitamin C.

Back to my 14 hour busy bee day…. after making the products, I had to print the labels and then put the labels on each and every bottle and jar. I pushed myself to the limit and decided it’s time to stop, write my daily blog, catch a little of Piers Morgan and The Joy Behar Show, then bed.

I was going to pack my purple carrying case for my day out in the streets tomorrow, but decided I was just too dog tired.

I look forward to hearing from some of you folks with your comments, questions or whatever.

Smiles til the next post,

Out in the Streets with Ashley’s Back to Nature Day 1

After working for corporate America for too many years, I was forced to create my own aromatherapy business in 2005 called Ashley’s Back to Nature. I hand make mostly natural and organic skin care products that are safe for people, pets and the environment. My products nourish, heal and can pick up your spirits.

It’s so nice to not have to work for idiot bosses, be surrounded by back stabbers, slackers, harsh florescent  lights, constant loud noises, not to mention hearing some of my co-workers that had no problem lying and cheating people with big fat smiles on their faces. It made me sick to my stomach. The word contract doesn’t exist in my business vocabulary.

My goal is to blog everyday about what I’ve done to make Ashley’s Back to Nature into a house hold name one day at a time while giving back to the community and society.

Today I drove to Murphy, NC to check out a flea market to set up my 5 foot table and sell Ashley’s Back to Nature products. I found out the best days to sell are on Tuesday and Saturdays, so I’m going to give it a try. The market was out in a field surrounded by lots of other vendors selling their goods. I tried to ignore the big puddles of mud from the previous rain, but it’s still etched in my mind.

There were a lot of rednecks at the flea market, but who am I to judge? They can surely use my KureAll Skin Balm that’s great for itchy skin, cuts, burns, rashes, dry chapped lips, fever blisters and all types of skin irritations. It got rid of my skin disorder within a few days that was very similar to the shingles. Every household on the planet should have KureAll Skin Balm.

Happy day, sweet dreams and til next time.
